About the Event

A free comic workshop series exclusively for foster and adopted youth ages 8 - 18 in Massachusetts. Learn about the comics craft, mindful drawing, and storytelling with cartoonist and educator Cara Bean. Participants are encouraged but not required to take all four workshop sessions in order to complete a final comic project. Drawing materials and graphic novels will be provided and are yours to keep! All skill levels are welcome – just bring an open mind and express yourself creatively.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend support and training sessions hosted upstairs with Bridges Homeward.


Getting here: Free parking is available at the Third Street lot. If traveling by public transportation, Bridges Homeward is conveniently located by the Lechmere T stop.
