About the Creators

James Kochalka (kah-chall-ka) has been creating iconic indie comics and bizzarely catchy punk rock since the early 80s. Largely autobiographical, Kochalka's cartoon expression of the world around him includes such real-life characters as his wife, children, cat, friends and colleagues, but always filtered through his own observations and flights of whimsy. In March 2011 he was declared the cartoonist laureate of Vermont, serving a term of three years. He is a two-time winner of the prestigious Eisner Award, four-time Ignatz Award, and a Harvey Award winner.

Ellen T. Crenshaw is a cartoonist and illustrator living on Massachusetts' North Shore. She is the creator of the New York Times bestselling Baby-sitters Club graphic novel adaptation of Stacey's Mistake by Ann M. Martin, as well as the upcoming Kristy and the Walking Disaster. Ellen is the co-creator, with Colleen AF Venable, of Kiss Number 8, which was nominated for an Eisner Award and long-listed for a National Book Award. When she’s not making comics, she is playing video games, hiking with my dog, and analyzing movies with her husband.
